HIGHFILL - Edward Curtis Vaughn, 70-year-old resident of Highfill, Ark., died March 26, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark. Born April 6, 1944 in Cullman, Ala., he was the son of Pheron Vaughn and Beulah (Perkins) Vaughn. Edward married Treka Brooks on July 4, 1980 in Prairie Grove, Ark. He worked as an accountant and HR director for Peterson Industries for many years. Edward was a past president of the Northwest Arkansas Gated Horse Club. He was a member of Cowboys for Christ and the First Baptist Church in Highfill, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Treka Vaughn of Highfill; three children: Brooke Malmstrom and husband Doug of Little Rock, Ark., Ross Edward Vaughn of Atlanta, Ga. and Amy Keck and husband David of Cave Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren: Jake Malmstrom, Max Malmstrom, Maddie Kate Malmstrom and Landon Keck; and one sister, Elaine Stone and husband John of Atlanta, Ga.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Highfill, Arkansas with Pastor Roger Robins officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O.
