Herman Joseph Oberkoetter, 85, of Ozark, Arkansas, died, Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Ozark. He was retired from Union Electric Company of Missouri and received the Edison Electric Institute Award. He graduated from Southside Catholic High School in St. Louis, Missouri and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was born March 4, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to Herman and Clara Quatmann Oberkoetter. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sister Hermana of St. Joseph Monastery of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sister Mary Linus of St. Scholastica Monastery of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 with Funeral Mass following at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, Arkansas with Father Leonard Wangler, OSB, officiating and burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Altus, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Oberkoetter of Ozark.

She was born July 18, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri to Herman and Clara Quatmann Oberkoetter.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sister Hermana of St. Joseph Monastery in Tulsa and Sister Mary Linus of St. Scholastica in Fort Smith; one brother, Herman Oberkoetter.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 with Funeral Mass following at 10:00 AM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, Arkansas with Father David Bellinghausen, OSB, officiating with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Altus, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
