Vera Lea Poplin, 68 of Springdale, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at her home. She was born February 27, 1942 in Mayfield, Arkansas to Richard (Dick) and Vera Mayfield Keeney.

Vera was a member of the Mayfield Bible Community Church where she was active in the Mayfield Jubilee Singers. She worked for Tyson Foods and retired after fifteen years. She also worked at Wal-Mart as a people greeter. And was currently working at the Springdale After School program at John Tyson Elementary

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William (Bill) Keeney.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Poplin of the home to whom she married November 12, 1965; two daughters, DeAnn Thomas of Springdale and Keena Yousey and husband Rick of Springdale; one sister, Betty Dutton and husband Larry of Tontitown; four grandsons, Cody Hathorn, Cory Hathorn, and Nevada Yousey all of Springdale and B.J. Yousey of Pineville, Missouri; two great grandsons, Coby Lee Hathorn of Springdale and Wyatt Lane Yousey of Pineville, Missouri.

Funeral services were Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Rev. Jim Rousseau and Rev. Earl Dean Morris officiating. Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Cody Hathorn , Cory Hathorn, Nevada Yousey, Rick Yousey, Kelly Dutton, Josh Hess.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Keeney, Larry Fultz, Glen Keaton, Barry Hess, Larry Dutton

SPRINGDALE — Wayne Poplin, 67, of Springdale died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Springdale, Ark., to Alford Mac Poplin and Claudine Dorrough Poplin.

Wayne was a member of the Mayfield Community Bible Church. He worked for the Standard Register Company for 30 years, Tyson Print Shop for 10 years, then retired and worked part time for Bumper to Bumper. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and really enjoyed playing Gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Vera Lee Poplin; his dad, Alford Poplin; and his sister, Sharon Reynolds.

Survivors include two daughters, DeAnn Thomas and Keena Yousey and husband Rick of Springdale; his mother, Claudine Poplin of Springdale; four brothers, Jim Poplin and wife Carolyn of Elkins, Tommy Poplin and wife Karen of Springdale, Earnest Poplin and wife Darlene of Farmersville, Texas, and Harvey Poplin and wife Linda of Blue Ridge, Texas; four grandsons, Cody Hathorn, Cory Hathorn and Nevada Yousey, all of Springdale, and B.J. Yousey of Pineville, Mo.; two great-grandsons, Coby Lee Hathorn of Springdale and Wyatt Lane Yousey of Pineville, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Keisha Yousey and Leslie Yousey of Oklahoma; and sister-in-law, Betty Dutton and husband, Larry, of Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Jim Rousseau, the Rev, Earl Dean Morris and Ashley Keaton officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Springdale.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Cody Hathorn, Cory Hathorn, Nevada Yousey, Rick Yousey, Kelly Dutton and Johnny Poplin.

Honorary pallbearers are Larry Dutton, Joe Keeney, Archie Poplin, Barry Hess and Glen Keaton.

Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Square, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
