WALNUT RIDGE — Cecil Adams, 71, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, in Jonesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyes and Bertha Payne Adams; and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Orpal Adams of the home; son, Oran Adams of Cave City; four sisters; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Whittaker Cemetery near Walnut Ridge under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Derek Collins officiating.
The body has been cremated, and no visitation has been planned.

WALNUT RIDGE — Orpal Earlene Adams, 70, died Sunday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Adams; parents; one brother and sister.
Survivors include her son, Oran Adams of Cave City; brothers, Wayne Callahan of Hoxie and Walter Callahan Jr. of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Ann Rea of Missouri and Dee Murphy of Texas; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Whittaker Cemetery with Derek Collins officiating and directed by House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
