Eugene the son of Cicero and Letha (Carter) Fry. Syble I (Willfond) Fry she the daughter of James Herman and Cora Lee Blackshear Willfond.


Eugene Carter Frye
SEDGWICK -- Eugene Carter Frye, 85, of Sedgwick passed away Monday, May 1, 2006, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 16, 1921, in Walnut Ridge, a son of Cicero and Letha Carter Frye.

Mr. Frye was a factory worker and member of Cathedral Baptist Church in Rockford, Ill.

Mr. Frye was united in marriage to Syble Willfond. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Frye is survived by his wife, Syble of the home; a daughter, Bonnie Deen and husband Floyd Jr. of Sedgwick; a son, Randy Fry and wife Sue of Rockford, Ill.; five grandchildren, Waylan Deen and wife Cheryl, Eugenia Rutherford and husband Chris, all of Jonesboro, Kristin Doyle of Bono, Andy Fry and wife Amanda and Wendy Fry, all of Rockford, Ill.; five great grandchildren, Stephanie Deen, Cherish Rutherford, Caleb Rutherford, Jacqueline Doyle and Lillie Doyle; and three brothers, Bill Fry of Osceola, Joe Fry of Pocahontas and Delmas Fry of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in Bryan Funeral Home Chapel, with Marion Stringer and Royce Schanda officiating. Interment will be in Whitaker Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday.

Syble Frye
Syble Frye, 84, of Jonesboro, died Feb. 11, 2008.

Born Aug. 14, 1923, in Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of James Herman and Cora Lee Blackshear Willfond. She was a former employee of the Barber Coleman Company in Loves Park, Ill., and was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church in Rockford, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene C. Frye, on May 1, 2006, whom she married Oct. 29, 1938; three sisters, Eva Haynes, Marie Hall and Bernice Willfond; and five brothers, Jewel Willfond, Doyle Willfond, Weldon Willfond, Marvin Willfond and Max Willfond.

Survivors include a son, Randy Fry and wife Sue, Rockford, Ill.; a daughter, Bonnie Deen and husband Floyd, Sedgwick; five grandchildren, Waylan Deen, Eugenia Rutherford, Kristin Dacus, Andy Fry and Wendy Koester; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral is Thursday at 2 p.m. in Bryan Chapel with Rev. Marion Stringer officiating. Burial will be in Whittaker Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Waylan Deen, Sam Barnett, Chris Dacus, Andrew Fry, Fred Casper and Truman Britton.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of service.
