Dawson Walker, 89, of Magnolia, AR passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Magnolia Health Care Center. He was born September 18, 1915 in Joaquin, TX to the late Alvie and Jessie Walker. He was a retired engineer for Citgo Oil Co. and served with the Navy CB's. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bessie L. Owen Walker (who he married on July 6, 1940). He was survived by three daughters, Laverne Lee of Bossier City, LA, Glenda Watts and husband Larry Watts of Hinesville, GA and Martha Smith and husband Robert of Arnold, MO; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one brother, Gene Walker. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 10:00am at Central Baptist Church Chapel. Bro. David Wood officiated. Burial was followed at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Leon Butler, James Lee Jr., William Lee, Robert Lee, Paul Lester, and Ronnie Pipkin.
