Lena Lucy Weeks, 98, of Decatur, died Thursday, Jan. 20, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1894, at Russell County, Kan., to Stephen and Louise Bossing Holzer. She worked in the childcare industry, was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church and the Falling Springs Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Weeks, two sons, Burr and James Weeks, and two daughters, Verona Katherine and Fern Lavon Weeks.

Survivors are a son, Bill J. Weeks of Decatur; three daughters, Alice Etris of Decatur, Daisy Wilmoth and Goldie Ray, both of Siloam Springs; a brother, Simon Holzer of Grand Junction, Colo.; four sisters, Bertha Weeks of Russell, Kan., Alice Miller and Johannah Marsh, both of Topeka, Kan., Ethyl Dobrinski of Pryor, Okla.; 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is set for 2 p.m. today at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Eaton and the Rev. Buster Payne officiating under direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
