Dortha Mae Robinson, 85, of Altus, affectionately known as “Granny,” born Jan. 6, 1931, to Theron and Ethel McCartney, passed from this earth on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016.

A lifelong homemaker, she married William “Bill” Robinson on Sept. 23, 1949. After spending over 45 years in Colorado, they retired back to Arkansas. Known for her baking ability, in particular rolls and cinnamon rolls, she was loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by two sons, Donny Robinson and wife Marlene of Altus, and Garland Robinson and wife Connie of Sanford, Texas; one daughter, Gloria Kessler and husband Virgil of Ozark; and one daughter-in- law, Betsy Robinson of Coal Hill; seven grandsons; three granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; eight great-granddaughters; three brothers, Jim and Jerry McCartney of Altus, and Kenneth McCartney of Ozark; and one sister, Quita Stover of Altus.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Brother Mike Pennington and Timothy Kessler officiating with burial at Gar Creek Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.

Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy, Randy and Eric Kessler, J. D. Robinson and Jim and Derrick McCartney. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael, Adam and Robert Robinson.
