Robert Clark Wood, 90, of Cecil died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, in his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1913, in Cecil. He was a rancher, a member of Branch Church of Christ, a 50-year Mason and a World War II Army veteran. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie; and one sister, Jimmie Nutter of Grove, Okla. The family will visit with friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cecil Cemetery Fund or Branch Church of Christ. Johnnie Maye Wood, 92, of Dardanelle, formerly of Cecil, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Dardanelle. She was a retired teacher from the Ozark School District where she taught for forty years. She attended Arkansas Tech, University of Arkansas, and received her teaching degree at University of Central Arkansas, Conway.
She was a member of the Ozark Church of Christ and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was born February 12, 1919 in Cecil to John L. and Mary A. Smith Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clark Wood and two brothers, Sim A. Clark and Don C. Clark.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 9th at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Minister John Brasseaux officiating, with burial at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, Arkansas, under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
