Donna Jo Barton resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in a Fort Smith hopsital.
She was born December 30, 1946 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the late Hollis James King and Laurie Mae (Moore) King. She was 63 years old.

Donna was a homemaker, was the love of J.O. Barton's life, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Charleston.

Funeral service was 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28th at the First United Methodist Church in Charleston, with Rev. Bill Buchanan officiating. Interment was at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband, J.O. Barton, of the home; one daughter, Laurie Smothers & husband Richard of Fayetteville; one son; Mark Barton & wife Andrea of Syracuse, Kansas; two sisters, Pam Robertson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Glenda Townley of Bossier City, Louisiana; two brothers, Tommy King of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jeffrey King of Monroe, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Chandler & Kaitlyn Smothers and Kolbie, Kendley, Karter, & Kingston Barton.

Pallbearers were Chandler Smothers, Brian King, Brad King, Chad Townley, Chase Townley, and Brooks Simkins.
