Charlie C. Franklin of Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born March 29, 1924 in Cecil to the late Clarence Franklin and Cenia Lane Franklin. He was 85 years old.
He worked as a service station manager in California before becoming disabled, served in the U.S. Navy and was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral services were Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial was at the Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He was survived by his wife, Betty Jean Sisco Franklin, of the home; four daughters, Shirley Stoll & husband Bob, of Fort Smith, Charlotte Ramsey & husband Richard, of Cecil, Janice Robinett & husband Rick, of Russellville and Melinda Stubblefield and husband Jimmy, of Branch; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Pall Bearers will be Brian and Brent Ramsey, Jason Anhalt, Ryan Robinett, Randy Harvell, Jason Hughey and Scott McCombs.

Ms. Betty Jean Franklin, of Charleston, Arkansas; formerly of Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ms. Franklin was 86 years old. She was the daughter of the late Frank Sisco and Irene (Prather) Sisco.
Betty was a homemaker and she was a member of Cecil First United Methodist Church.
Ms. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie C. Franklin; 2 sisters: Frankie "Bumpy" Withers and Patsy Elam; 2 brothers:Jimmy and Don Sisco; and 1 great great-grandson: Cason Stubblefield.
She is survived by her four daughters, Shirley Stoll and husband Bob of Fort Smith, Charlotte Ramsey and husband Richard of Cecil, Janice Robinett and husband Rick of Russellville, and Melinda Stubblefield and husband Jimmy of Branch; two sisters, Sue Cook of Texarkana, Texas and Linda Cowling of Ashdown, Arkansas; (8) grandchildren and (11) great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Ms. Franklin was held on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Cecil First United Methodist Church.
Rev. Jerry Eubanks and Rev. Andy Newbill officiated the services.
She was laid to rest at Cecil Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Ramsey, Brent Ramsey, Jason Anhalt, Ryan Robinett, Tyler Stubblefield, Dagon McCombs, Dillon Ramsey, and Wyatt Harvell.
