Mr. A.G. Milam of Charleston, Arkansas, died 07-17-2010, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was 84 years, 2 months, and 14 days old. Mr. Milam was the son of the late James Monroe and Bertha (Prewitt) Milam. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Milam was a former worker for Branch Co-Op and Garrison Furniture. He was a member of Cecil United Methodist Church.
Mr. Milam was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two dadaughters: Teresa Milam of Ozark, Arkansas, and Elizabeth Milam Ulmer and husband Larry of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one son: Gerald Milam and wife Margaret of Cecil, Arkansas; two sisters: Jessie King of Charleston, Arkansas Drucille Arnold of Lakewood, Colorado; and one brother: J.B. Milam of Ozark, Arkansas; a god-grandson: Doug Gillespie of Fort Smith, Arkansas; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives; and a host of good friends.
Funeral service was held 07-21-2010 at the church. Rev. Jerry Eubanks, officiated the service. He was laid to rest at the Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Edward Evans, John Noggle, Joseph Attebery, Terry Masingale, Carl Sisk and Leon Hall.
Honorary pallbearers were: Mark Kesner, Chuck Foley and members of Cecil United Methodist Church.

Orpha Lee Milam, 77, of Charleston died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born July 8, 1927, in Cecil. She was a dairy farmer and a homemaker, and a member of the Cecil Methodist Church. Funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Cecil Methodist Church with burial at Cecil Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. She is survived by her husband, A.C.; two daughters, Elizabeth Milam of Rudy and Teresa Milam of the home; a son, Gerald Milam of Cecil; and a sister, Wanda Byrd of Statesville, N.C. Pallbearers will be Benny Lowery Jr., Marty Lowry, Richard Ramsey, Edward Evans, John Lamar and Allen Hall.
