James Edward Holloway Jr, 70, of Alix, Arkansas died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in Alix. He was born June 1, 1934, in Alix. He worked for Crouse Construction and was an Army veteran and a Methodist.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, a son, a sister, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Melba Jean Holloway, 77 of Alix, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was born June 28, 1939 to Rufus (Tutor) and Christine Mason Massengale.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Holloway; a son Micheal Holloway.
Melba is survived by her daughter Diane Holloway of Denning, Arkansas; a sister Pamela Knox and husband Paul of Ozark; four grandchildren, Shelley Harmon, Brandy Stewart, Joseph Harmon, Megan Holloway and four great-sons.
Serving as Pallbearers are Cole Knox, Justin Martin, Nathan Stewart, Joseph Harmon, Christopher Coughran and Steve Ricketts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Dingman and Jim Herb Jackson.
Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Monday, April 24,2017 at Ozark Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Kendall Ross officiating with burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
