Pearl - December 23, 1886 - October 31, 1966
Mrs. Pearl Patterson Purifoy, aged 79 of Louann wife of Arthur P. Purifoy died in an El Dorado hospital at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Purifoy was born December 23, 1886 at Chidester, Arkansas the daughter of James H. and Ophelia Hildebrand Patterson. She had lived in Louann since 12929, and was a member of the Louann Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Preston Purifoy of Ft. Worth, Texas, Boyd F. Purifoy of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Glenn B. Purifoy of Pensacola, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Donnely of Bethesda, Maryland, and Mrs. Ruby Burroughs of Benton; two brothers, Albert Patterson of Stillwater, Okla., and Eldridge Patterson of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Norwood of Stillwater, Okla., and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Loann Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Liberty cemetery near Louann by Proctor Funeral Service. (Camden News - November 1, 1966)
