FAYETTEVILLE — Billie Jean Drain, 59, of Fayetteville died May 22, 2002, at his home. He was born April 14, 1943, in Fayetteville to Troy and Thelma Marie Mitchell Drain. He was retired from the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Nondenominational Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Goolsby Drain of the home; one son, David Drain of Fayetteville; one daughter, Karen Starr of West Fork; six brothers, Donnie Drain of Hogeye and Junior Drain, Bobby Drain, Jack Drain, Rickie Drain and Johnny Drain, all of Fayetteville; six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at White Rock Light of Faith Church in Fayetteville.
Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE — Betty Jean Drain, 66, of Fayetteville died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at her home.
She was born April 12, 1942, in Winslow, the daughter of Lawrence and Lettie Rose Goolsby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Jean Drain.
She was a retired employee from the University of Arkansas.
She is survived by a son, David Drain and wife Deanne of Fayetteville; a daughter, Karen Starr of West Fork; a brother, Harold Miller of Winslow; two sisters, Martha Hamilton and Joyce Barker, both of Winslow; a half brother, Buck Goolsby of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Amber Drain, Cody Starr, Lucas Starr, Colby Drain, Alyssa Drain, Nikki Drain and Kaci Drain; two great-grandchildren; Trista Doss and Trinity Doss.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Farmington Baptist Church. The Rev. Preston Beeks and Freda Reading will officiate.
Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.
