FAYETTEVILLE — Mildred Christina Vaughn, 95, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Daniel W. Vaughn, Sr. Mildred was born March 14, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to James Petersen and Helga Christensen Petersen. She was retired from Montgomery Ward's Department Store.
She is survived by one son, Daniel W. Vaughn, Jr. of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Christina Vaughn Moraga and Joan Vaughn Hogan, both Fayetteville, Ark.; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.
