January 8, 1942 - September 12, 2014
Jimmy Lynn Best, who resided in Caulksville, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home.
He was born January 8, 1942 in the Shaver Community in Logan County to the late Clarence Best and Ola (Nunnelee) Best. He was 72 years old.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Billie Lee; a nephew, David Lee; and a brother-in-law, Travis Lee.
Jim was a retired accountant for Burt Steel Company in Charleston. He also raised cattle and sold the calves at the County Line Sale Barn. He had a great garden each year and enjoyed sharing his vegetables with his friends. Jim was a long time member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Ratcliff. He loved his Lord, his family, and his church family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 plus years, Doris (Martin) Best; one daughter, Twila Best of Lavaca; two sons, Greg Best and wife Tammy of Fort Smith and Rodney Best and wife Kim of Arkansas City, Kansas. He was also blessed with six grandchildren, Kristy Best of Little Rock, Levi Best of Lavaca, Dalton Best of Fort Smith, Taylor Best of Manhattan, Kansas, and Christopher McGlasson of Wichita, Kansas and Katelyn McGlasson of Arkansas City, Kansas.
Pallbearers will be Greg Best, Rodney Best, Levi Best, Dalton Best, James Best, and Eddie Lee.
