ROGERS — Margaret Lorraine "Peggy" Brusherd, 71, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at New Hope Health and Rehab in Rogers. She was born April 10, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., to Edward Reynolds and Margaret McKeown Reynolds.
She accepted Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) as her Lord and Savior in 1969. Her frequent visits to Israel were instrumental in developing an understanding, heart and passion for the Jewish people, and her deep Christian faith. She loved waving banners, singing Messianic songs, and reading her Bible. She was a strong, faithful prayer warrior. Peggy was active in Methodist, Baptist, Assembly of God, Four Square and Charismatic fellowships, but became most devoted to Messianic fellowships.
She was preceded in death by her father, her mother and one daughter, Catherine Margaret Brusherd in 1969. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe Brusherd; four sons, Jon Michael and wife Diane of Springfield, Mo., Joseph Thomas and wife Jeanna of Honduras, Central America, James Charles and wife Annie of Rogers, Ark., Joel David and wife Elizabeth of Beaverdam, Va.; two daughters, Susan Marie Brusherd of Rogers, Ark., Elizabeth Joy Broberg and husband Kirk of Springfield, Mo.; one brother, Edward John Reynolds of Carthage, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Rogers First Assembly of God with the Brusherd family officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Rogers First Assembly of God at Dixieland and Oak Street.
Memorials may be made in honor of Peggy Brusherd to Plan Escalon in Honduras through Tree of Life Ministries, 2084 W. Thompson Road, Fenton, MI, 48430; or Jews for Jesus, 60 Haight Street, San Francisco, CA 94102-5895.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale- Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
