William's parents were Edmond and Mary Edwards Willmuth; Catherine's parents were Ephraim and Margaret Stevens Sharp
Family folklore has it that William injured his arm during the war which resulted in a open, running sore that eventually poisoned his mind and he became violently insane. He was locked in a small room built in the family home's living room due to his violent outbursts.Sharp for whom Sharp County was named.
