Betty Jo Kellem, 89

A Funeral Service for Betty Jo Kellem of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, May 1, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jimmie Snow officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until time of service. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Betty Jo passed away April 27, 2017, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born January 15, 1928, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Odus and Hazel Knight Duggins. She married Leonard Kellem on May 23, 1948 at Buford, Arkansas and was a lifetime resident of Arkansas. Betty Jo was a teacher for Buford and then Shipps Ferry. She then worked at Baxter Healthcare from 1964 until 1981. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and cooking for them.

Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Karen (Gene) Allen of Mountain Home, AR; granddaughter, Rhonda Allen of Mountain Home, AR; brother, Garry (Ida) Duggins of Wideman, AR and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Estel, E.J. and Buddie Duggins.

Memorials may be made to Dementia Society of America.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
