Clinton L. Crain, aged 60, life-long resident of Ouachita county died at his home on Chidester Route 2, Wednesday afternoon. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Aileen Hodge, of Little Rock; four sons, Leonard and Orland of Chidester; L. M. of the U. S. Navy stationed at Jacksonville, Fla., and Wallace of Chidester, Route 2; three brothers, Tom Crain of Monticello; Osburn and Ashley Crain, both of Chidester; two sisters, Mrs. Sterling Merritt of Chidester and Mrs. Will Morris of Smackover. Funeral services were held at the Crain cemetery west of Camden at 3 p.m. today by the Rev. Ottis Reddin. Proctor mortuary was in charge. (Camden News - September 29, 1949)
