ROGERS — James Lee Owens, 90, of Rogers died July 1, 2000, at a nursing home. He was born Aug. 5, 1909 in Avinger, Texas, to Jess and Cindy Green Owens. He was an airplane and vehicle mechanic, and he retired from Tulakes Aviation in Oklahoma City at the age of 72. He lived in the area since 1992, moving from St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of the Bible Student's Association in Oklahoma and Missouri, serving as an elder. He was a member of Hope Evangelical Free Church. He enjoyed reading the Bible and writing but it.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda I. Owens of the home, to whom he was married 17 years; two sons, Glendon Lee Owens of Lake Placid, Fla., and James Larry Owens of West Lafayette, Ind.; two daughters, Berylene Wagner of Orlando, Fla., and Karla Stewart of Wichita.,Kan.; one stepson, Bill Krone of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Marlene Olafson of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Jay Owens of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with Edward K. Godfrey and Kirk Hartness officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Krone, Vernon Olafson, Scott Cummings, Ryan Cummings, Norten Dablemont and Brice Dablemont.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hope Evangelical Free Church, 2300 S. 13th St., Rogers, 72757.

BELLA VISTA — Amanda Izora Owens of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on Jan. 27, 2017. She was born on April 23, 1920, in Houston, Mo., to the late Fred and Tollie Dablemont.
Amanda moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1990 with her husband James after spending much of her life in Missouri. She was very active in many organizations during her life. While living in St. Louis, she was president of the local, Missouri state and national PTAs. Moving to Arkansas, she became president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Purple Heart.
She was dedicated to helping others, and worked for many years as a nurse in St. Louis.
Survivors include her children, Marlene Olafson (Vern) of Bella Vista, William Krone (Paula) of Arizona; stepchildren, Karla Stewart (Dan) of Wichita, Kans., Jim Owens (Jan) of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Bryce Dablemont (Bettye); three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert Krone, James Owens; and brothers, Norton, Farrell, and Vaughn Dablemont.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Village Bible Church in Bella Vista. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Rogers City Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, as are donations to Circle of Life Hospice at 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Ark, 72762.
