Margie Louise (Hedges) Stevens, 87, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed peacefully into her Savior’s arms on April 1, 2017. Margie was born at Fifty-Six, Arkansas on March 15, 1930 to Vera (DeCamp) and Abraham Hedges. She married Orbie Stevens in 1949. They had three children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters; Dorothy Burger and Erma Sefton.
Margie is survived by her children Gregory and wife, Sherry of Mountain View, Arkansas; Randal and wife Linda of Lakewood, Colorado; and Kathy and husband, Mike Conrade of Marietta, Georgia, four younger sisters, Naomi Gayler, Irene Shipman, Mary Ann Herman, and Martha Sue Phiefer; one brother, Ronald Hedges; three grandchildren, Daniel Stevens, Tari Patterson, and Mandy White; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the Live Wires Choir.
Throughout her life, Margie and her sisters demonstrated the nearly lost art of quilt- making. They blessed their family and friends many times over on special occasions by presenting them with these cherished works of art.
Pallbearers are Zachary Stevens, Herbert Shipman, Roger Franks, Ivan Mitchell, Mike Mitchell, and Eric Hedges.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday April 03, 2017 at Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services following at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery. Brother Maxie Haynes and Brother Randy Stevens will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church Mission Fund 2907 E. Main Mountain View, Arkansas 72560.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home is in Charge of the service.
