Clark Hughes Ingram, 82, of Norphlet, passed away June 27, 2016 at the John R. Williamson Life Touch Hospice House.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents, AC (Shag) and Johnnye G. Hughes Ingram; and his wife of 60 years, Joyce Fraser Ingram.
Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Debora Cook (Jim); a son, James Ingram (Kim); grandson, Brandon Butler (Courtney), Courtney Ingram, Summer Prado, Gabe, Josh, and Sean Cook; 16 great-grandchildren; and two loyal companions, Ruby and Bandit.
Clark was a United States Army Veteran who was stationed in Korea. Clark was an independent oil producer in south Arkansas for 25 years. He retired from BHP Petroleum as a production superintendent in 1990. He was an active board member of the South Arkansas Arts Center, and a member of the Gold Prospector Association. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Norphlet, where he volunteered his time to oversee the kitchen at the Family Life Center. He will be missed by many as he was a faithful servant to the community.
Pallbearers will be Pat Long, Jerry Hegwood, James Kegley, Bob Porter, Johnny Joseph, and Jimmy Watts.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. today, at First Baptist Church in Norphlet. A service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. John Norvell and Bro. Doug Willis officiating.
Interment will follow at Smackover Cemetery, under direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice House or First Baptist Church- Family Life Center, P.O. Box 10, Norphlet, AR 71759.
