Franklin G. Thompson, 77, of Searcy, AR., died Tuesday, December 24, 2012.

He was born March 16, 1935 in Clarksville, AR., to the late Herbert and Minnie Batchelor Thompson.

He was the president of the retiree association for ABF. Franklin enjoyed gardening and yard work in his free time. He loved his family more than anything.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Thompson; 5 children, 12 grandchildren and one on the way, 3 great-grandchildren and 7 sisters.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Thompson; 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and 1 grand-daughter.

Services were held at Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Interment was in Centerhill Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
