November 27, 1879 - July 21, 1961
Mrs. Lydia Martha Wright, aged 81, died Friday afternoon at 5:40 p.m. in the Ouachita County Hospital. She was born in Ouachita County on Nov. 27, 1879, and lived her entire life in Camden. Survivors are Mrs. Ruth Beauclaire of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Ina Rogers of Camden, Byron Wright of Camden, Charlie Wright of Birmingham, Ala., Gerald Wright of Mobile, Ala., 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Proctor Funeral Chapel by Rev. J. D. Middlebrook and Rev. Don Moore. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was the daughter of Alva and Mary Yarbrough Cook. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Casket bearers are Vernon Brinkworth, Howard McKinnon, Percy Lewis, Tommy Merritt, Ed Leysath, and Clifton Brown. She is also survived by one brother, W. W. Cook of Elliott; three sisters, Mrs. Jim Arnold of Camden, Mrs. J. C. Criner of Little Rock and Mrs. James Jameson of Village; ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
