March 15, 1874 - November 7, 1972
Mrs. Maude Harwell Lockhart, 98, died Tuesday. She was one of Camden's oldest citizens and was from one of the pioneer families in Ouachita County. Mrs. Lockhart was born at Buena Vista, March 15, 1874, the daughter of Mellisa Hodnett Harwell and Cicero Harwell. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Verna Lockhart, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Mrs. Howard East who died in July. Funeral services were held today at Proctor's Chapel. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery (Camden News - November 8, 1972)
