Widow of Thomas Kelly Fortner (1915-1996); eldest of ten children born to the late Ernest Franklin & Jennie (Parker) Simmons. She was a member of the Beryl Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by five siblings. Survived by son, Jerry Thomas Fortner of Hot Springs, AR; three daughters, Betty Canfield of Houston, TX; Jennie Duggar of Jacksonville, AR, and Linda Kay Dingler of Columbia, MO; four sisters, Delma Harris & Dorcas Measel of Vilonia, AR; Doris Shaw of Conway, & Donnie Sartain of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, & four great-grandchildren. Funeral service held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Beryl Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Pridmore officiating. Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, AR assisted the family.
