Webster the son of Joseph C. and Eliza (Wells) Goff. Velda Ray (Perrin) Goff the daughter of George Alvin "G.A." Perrin Sr and Lucy (Prince) Perrin.


Smithville-Webster Goff 89, of Smithville died Friday, May 6 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

Born in the Nelsonville community in Sharp Co., he was a part time cattle farmer and worked for Lynn School District for 39 years as a bus driver and Janitor.

He was a WWII Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife Velda Raye (Perrin) Goff. Two sons Rickey and Charles, three grandchildren, Karen Goff, Keith Goff and Angela Burrow, and 1 great Grandson

SMITHVILLE – Webster Goff, 89, of Smithville died Friday, May 6, 2005, in a Walnut Ridge hospital.

Born Aug. 1, 1919, in the Nelsonville community in Sharp County, he was the son of Joe and Eliza Wells Goff. He was united in marriage to Velda Raye Perrin on Jan. 31, 1948, in Jonesboro.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a part-time cattle farmer and a bus driver and janitor for Lynn School District for 39 years.

Survivors include his wife, Velda Raye Goff; two sons, Rickey Goff and Charles Goff, both of Smithville; a brother, James Walter Goff of Walnut Ridge; a sister, Vida Jones of Smithville; three grandchildren, Kevin Goff, Keith Goff and Angela Burrow; and a great-grandchild, David Burrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Luther Goff and Sam Goff; and a sister, Gladys Helm.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Smithville Methodist Church with Ron Kitchens and Jerry Clements officiating. Burial was in Smithville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gary Goff, Mike Bilbrey, Clent Burrow, Keith Goff, Jim Perkins

Honorary pallbearers were Otis Perkey, Larry Bonner, Heston Matthews, Arthur Jessen, Alvin Riney, Wayne Richey and Melvin Riney.

Smithville- Velda Goff age 87 passed away December 21, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Ar.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral in Walnut Ridge and are incomplete at this time.
