Doris Banks Duran Bryant, 95, of Conway, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2005. Born on January 14, 1910, in Conway, a daughter of the late Allen Grover and Lanie Myrtle Rains Duran, she grew up, married, and had three sons in the Conway and Faulkner County area. She finished raising the boys around the Des Arc area, where she lived for many years, then lived her last few years in Conway.
She was raised Methodist and was a Pentecostal by faith. She loved to play the piano and sing gospel music. She loved her family and friends, and she is loved and will be missed by them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ethar Alexander Bryant; two brothers, Virgil Bernard Duran and Cecil W. "Billy" Duran; sister, Zella Mae Duran Hallum; granddaughter, Melissa Bryant Overton; and two great-grandchildren, Jay Wayne Branham and Rachel Bryant.
She is survived be three sons, E. Wayne Bryant of Conway, Herschel Bryant and wife Clara of Conway, and Charles R. Bryant and wife Joyce of Ward; 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with interment following at Oakland Cemetery in Holland Community. Visitation is Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
