Bartholomew N. Mabry was the son of Delilah Mabry of Abbeville and Edgefield Counties in South Carolina. He served in Capt. William Ware's Company, Col. Youngblood's Regiment, South Carolina Militia, during the War of 1812, entering the service from Abbeville County. He was in Monroe County, Mississippi Territory (now Alabama) in 1816. On the 1820, 1830, & 1840 censuses he was in Shelby County, Alabama. Moved to Chickasaw County, Mississippi, about 1841 and to Conway County, Arkansas, about 1846. He applied for Bounty Land in Conway County in 1851 and died there in 1853.
Bartholomew was married to Rebecca Hazel. They were the parents of 10 children:

Bartholomew Mabry purchased a tract of 160 acres of forfitted land from the State of Arkansas on 8 Dec 1851. The description of the land was the SE 1/4 of Section 5, Township 6 North, Range 11 West. This land lies along the Muddy Bayou, approximately one mile east of HWY 107 and to the southeast of Enola. Family tradition has it that Bartholomew is buried somewhere in or around this area. On 1 August 2012 a monument was placed in his memory in Oakland Cemetery near the graves of several of his family members.
