PRAIRIE GROVE — Clifford Guy Sparks, 86, a resident of Prairie Grove, is rejoicing in heaven and back with his wife of 66 years. Guy passed away March 25, 2013, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born April 27, 1926, in Dutch Mills, Ark., the son of Joel Milas and Martha Jane Carlton Sparks.

Guy was an army veteran of World War II. He was in the grocery business for 25 years on main street of Prairie Grove and then went to work as receiving manager at Montgomery Ward for several years before retiring from the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Prairie Grove.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sparks; two brothers, Homer Sparks and Leo Sparks; and one sister, Myrtle Bullington.

He is survived by two daughters, Gyla Thompson and husband, Glenn of Lead Hill, Ark., and Melissa Jameson and husband, David of Prairie Grove, Ark.; five grandchildren, Terry Jameson, Karen Ossenkop and husband, Patrick, Mary Jameson, Laura Doyle and husband, Freddie and Jeremy Thompson and wife, Julianne; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Anthony Doyle.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church in Prairie Grove 1-2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, with funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Dutch Mill Cemetery; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Thompson, Terry Jameson, Freddie Doyle, Patrick Ossenkop, David Bullington and Logan Beard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Rieff, Charles Stills, Ronnie Stone, Bill Morrison, David Robbins and Doug Lanningham.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 40, Prairie Grove, AR 72753.

PRAIRIE GROVE — Betty Jo Sparks, 83, a resident of Prairie Grove, Ark., went to be with her Lord on July 19, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Morris, Okla., the daughter of James Britton and Eva Salina Baugh Keene.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. She retired from the Prairie Grove School in 1990.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy Keene, Carl Keene, and Hubert Keene; two sisters, Maureen Cone and Juanita Spencer.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Guy Sparks; two daughters, Gyla Thompson and her husband, Glenn, of Mountain Home, Ark., and Melissa Jameson and her husband, David, of Prairie Grove, Ark.; five grandchildren, Terry Jameson, Karen Ossenkop and her husband, Patrick, Mary Jameson, Laura Doyle and her husband, Freddie, Jeremy Thompson and his wife, Julianne; and two great-grandsons, Alexander Doyle and Anthony "Duke" Doyle.

Family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Ark.

Funeral service will be held Friday, July 23, 2011, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Ark., with Al Gebauer officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Mills Cemetery in Dutch Mills, Ark.; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Doug Lanningham, David Robbins, Ronnie Stone, Charles Stills, Jeremy Thompson, Terry Jameson, Freddie Doyle and Patrick Ossenkop.

Family asks memorials be made to the Prairie Grove Public Library, P.O. Box 10, Prairie Grove, AR 77753.
