Shirley Ann Sparkman-Strassle, 69, of Guy, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2013.
She was a homemaker and a member of Copperas Springs Baptist Church.
She was born Nov. 28, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Hubert Ward and Lucille Finch Ward.
She is survived by her husband, John Strassle; three daughters, Janet Wimberly (Chris) of Sherwood, Ark., Sabra Taylor of Minden, La., and Tammy Trotter of Billings, Mont.; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Doy Sparkman; and her parents, Hubert and Lucille Ward.
Funeral services are 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Copperas Springs Baptist Church, with burial in Old Texas Cemetery, with Brother Gary Burdin officiating.
Pallbearers are Jeff Honey, Chris Wimberly, DeWayne Passmore, Jeremy Passmore, Lawrence Billington and Randy Thorn.
