Roy Bruce “R.B.” Rowlett, 91, of Guy, Arkansas died Monday, May 23rd at Conway Regional Hospital, Conway, Arkansas. He was born October 2nd, 1913 in Guy to the late John Moses and Harriet DeJarnett Rowlett. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Hermie Ellen Hughes Rowlett; three sisters: Vida Crafton, Loelle Walthall and Bessie Mae Woofter; two brothers: Jim “J.M.” Rowlett and Bill Rowlett. He was the Postmaster at Guy for 36 years, he was owner/operator of R.B. Rowlett & Sons grocery in Guy for 60 years, he was a rancher, and farmer (owner of R.B. Rowlett Farms). He was a member of the Guy Church of Christ, and of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association. He was well known in the auction community as a buyer and a seller. He always had a story to tell and was much loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Annette Karber Rowlett, by four children: Frances Katherine Money and husband Daniel of Winter Haven, Florida; Jerry Bruce Rowlett of Guy; Jim Rowlett and wife Cynthia of Guy; John Rowlett and wife Kimberly of Guy; twelve grandchildren: Shelly Horton Carter, Michael Horton, Carmen Horton Pletcher, Janet Rowlett Eoff, Tabitha Rowlett Lee, Justin Rowlett, Christopher Rowlett, Aaron Rowlett, Bryce Rowlett, Kathyrn Rowlett, Bailey Rowlett, Cade Rowlett; eleven great-grandchildren, by brother: E.C. Rowlett of Guy and sister: Venice Joyner of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. May 26 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier (501.679.2575) officiated by Bruce Reeves and Lynn Burford with interment at Old Texas Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to: Old Texas Cemetery, 24 Rowlett Rd., Greenbrier, Arkansas 72058. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Justin Rowlett, Christopher Rowlett, Rusty Carter Michael Horton, Leon Carter and Bradley Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons: Bailey Rowlett, Aaron Rowlett, Bryce Rowlett and Cade Rowlett.
