MELBOURNE — Margie Ann Coleman Owens Campbell, 101, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, in Melbourne.
Born Jan. 22, 1908, in Gid, she was the daughter of P.A. "Buck" Coleman and Viola Warnett Coleman. She was united in marriage to Bill Owens. After his death, she married Leonard Campbell. She was a homemaker and a member of Guion Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Owens of Kansas City, Mo., Ray Owens of Violet Hill and Ed Owens of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Freda Hon of Independence, Mo.; a sister, Jewell Rubenking of Malvern, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Wonna Guthrie, Harold Burgess, Patty Conyers, Teresa Epperson, Lesa Holland, Tim Owens, Ken Owens, Edward Owens Jr., Regena Koeshall, Bruce Owens and Melissa Hunter; 23 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a brother, Clarence Coleman; and three sisters, Oma Grimes, Audrey Pruett and Mamie Pugh.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Guion Full Gospel Church with Jackie McCarrol officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Tim Owens, Ken Owens, Edward Owens, Bruce Owens, Eric Burgess and Harold Burgess.
Honorary pallbearers are Brad Guthrie, Dustin Owens and Brandon Owens.
