Dora Olivia Adams Lamey, 94, passed away this life to heaven on March 5, 2022. She was born on November 9, 1927, in Conway, Arkansas, to the late Harry and Maggie Adams.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clayton Lamey, Sr., and a sister, Margaret Tarver.
She had one of the longest active memberships of Conway First Baptist Church. Dora Libby loved her Grace Sunday School Class and witnessing for the Lord with her best friend Betty Fraser.
She enjoyed playing bridge with her favorite competitors who were Viva Hefley, Dorothy Starkey, Bobbie Horton and Charlotte Nabholz.
Mrs. Lamey taught school in both Vilonia and Conway Public Schools. She was also a member of Conway Junior Civic League.
Most of all she loved her family and loved cooking for them every Sunday night, even if the taste waned as the years went by.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Janis Young (Paul) and Clay Lamey (Laura); grandchildren, April Kellar, Les Lamey (Lexi), and Adam Lamey (Tracy); five great-grandchildren; and a niece, Sally Ingram.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 2:00PM, in Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Conway First Baptist Church or Conway Central Baptist food pantry.
God is always looking for ordinary people who are willing to be faithful servants, Dora Libby took the job. She will be truly missed.

Charles Clayton Lamey, Sr. 84 of Conway passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009. He was born February 24, 1925 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late, John Lamey and Elsie Krohn Lamey. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Robert and Kathryn Mathis in Little Rock. He was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed golfing and bird hunting and friends. He was a retired salesman, Marine Veteran of WWII where he served in the South Pacific. He was a graduate of ASTC "UCA" in Conway.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Dora Adams Lamey, one son, Dr. Clay Lamey and his wife Laura of Conway, one daughter, Janis Young and her husband Paul of Conway, three grandchildren, April Kellar of Monette, Missouri, Les Lamey and wife Misty of Maumelle and Dr. Adam Lamey and his wife Tracy of Conway, four great grandchildren, Jake Kellar, Drew Lamey, Lexi Lamey and Adalyn Lamey. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers all of Biloxi, MS.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 28, 2009 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jack Bloxom officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Conway.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Harry Earhart, Fred Hunt, Dr. Jim Flanagin, Dr. Frank Flanagin, Bob Townsell, Jesse Ferrell, Burt Glen, Kenny Ketchiside, Fletcher Smith and Twig Satterfield.
