Agrippa Anderson, Jr. 88, of Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of Conway, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at his home. Born May 21, 1920 in Gainesville, Texas to the late Agrippa Anderson, Sr. and Aglue Harrell Anderson, he retired from teaching at Conway High School. He relocated in Memphis in 2002 where he lived until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Opal (Robertson) Anderson.

He is survived by one son, Mike (Linda) Anderson of Memphis, a granddaughter, Carla (Dane) Parker also of Memphis, and a great-granddaughter, Ayden Grace.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway. There will be no public services.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the charity of your choice.

Mildred O. Robertson Anderson, 83 of Conway, passed away Friday, July 12, 2002, at home. Born October 7, 1918, in the Old Liberty Community, she was the daughter of William H. Robertson and Ella Bess Suttle Robertson. During WWII, she was employed by Cities Service Defense Corp. After WWII, for six years, she was secretary to the superintendent of the Donna, Texas, school district. She and her husband returned to Arkansas and owned and operated a drugstore in Little Rock until 1958. They moved to Conway and opened Anderson's Paint and Wallpaper of 913 Front Street, which they operated for 22 years. The business was sold in 1980.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 59 years, A.C. Anderson Jr.; a son, Mike Anderson of Memphis, TN; a daughter-in-law, Linda Anderson of Memphis, TN; a granddaughter, Carla Anderson of Memphis, TN; a nephew, Ray Cummins of Conway; a niece, JoAnn Cummins of Conway; and a niece, Donna Kay Robertson of Little Rock.
Graveside services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jim McKay officiating. General visitation will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
