Willene June Blankenship Hodges 79 of Jacksonville died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at Baptist Springhill Medical Center in North Little Rock. She was born June 1, 1925 in Monette, Arkansas to Wiloughby and Mollie Faye Robins Blankenship. She graduated from Southside High School in Damascus in 1943. In 1956, she married Bradley Hodges Sr. Mrs. Hodges served in the Womens Army Air Corp where she retired as a Captain. From 1968 until 1995 she lived in San Antonio, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death on May 17, 1992. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Hodges moved to Jacksonville in 1995. Mrs. Hodges was a member of Eastern Star and the Baptist faith.


She is survived by a son, Bradley Hodges Jr. of Vilonia; daughter, Molly Huff of Universal City, Texas; seven grandchildren, Michael, Craig, Darian, Haylee, Lindsey, Heather, Tawnee; three brothers, Red Blankenship of Little Rock, John Blankenship of Ingram, Texas, Pug Blankenship of Charleston, AR.; sister, Judy Allen of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005 at Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home chapel with Jerold Posey officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the funeral home. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home of Jacksonville. (501) 982-2136.
