Geneva F. Avra, 82, of Conway, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012. Born in Pickles Gap, she was a daughter to the late Clarence L. Dunn and Vera (Johnston) Dunn Ruple. Geneva was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was retired from the CHDC.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Don Reid Sr., her second husband, Sam Avra; her parents; five sisters, Odessa Hegi, Freda Cato, Theda Reed, Ruby Tucker, and Joyce Dunn, and two brothers, Johnny Dunn and Carroll Ruple.
Survivors include her sons; Ricky Reid and wife Pam of Searcy, AR; Billy Don Reid Jr. and wife Elaine of Conway; daughter, Debra Reid of Maumelle, step-daughter, Pam Holt and husband Tommy of Conway; five grandchildren, Patrick Holt, Candace Wilson, Nicole Tidmore, Natalie Horton, Christina Reid, and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Tascott; and one brother, Harold Ruple.
Sam Haze Avra , 78 of Conway died Wednesday (June 9, 2004). He was born June 28, 1925 in Conway to the late Fred and Ellen Hazel Avra. He was a shipping Foreman for Virco Manufacturing for thirty-four years, member of Second Baptist Church where he was a long time Choir member and Sunday School Teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Dunn Avra, two daughters, Pam Holt of Conway and Debra Reid of Little Rock, two sons Ricky Reid of Searcy and Bill Reid of Conway, sister, Joan Connell of Conway, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Avra and a sister, Rose Mary Avra Craig.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Conway with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Mark Dance and Bro. William West officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Arrangements by Roller-McNutt Conway.
