Bernice Minnie Carter, 82, of Benton died on Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born on October 6, 1922 in Edwards, Mississippi to the late H. C. Richards I and Minnie (Moore) Richards. She was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Fitzgerald and Frank Carter. Survivors include two daughters; Doris Hendrix and companion Wayne Dawson of Benton and Virginia R. White and husband Victor of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, Vernon Richards of Natchez, MS; one sister, Margie Nettles of Ontario, CA; two grandchildren, Rene Hourtienne and Randy Bobo both of Pasadana, TX, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) officiated by Rev. Jim Harrell. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 at the funeral home.
