FARMINGTON — Fayrene Virginia Holcomb, 72, a resident of Farmington, Ark., passed away Aug. 17, 2011, at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville, Ark., after a six-year battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 29, 1938, in Swain, Ark., the daughter of Ted R. and Bertha Daniels Snow.
She was employed in the nursing field for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hershel R. Holcomb; one son, Roger Dale Holcomb; one brother, Kenneth R. Snow; and an infant sister.
Survivors include two sons, Hershel Clayton Holcomb and his wife, Angelea, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Clifton Wade Holcomb of Farmington, Ark.; six grandchildren, Heather Cooper and her husband, Jason, Kayla Holcomb, Heath Holcomb, Dalton Holcomb, Hayden Holcomb and Justin Holcomb; one great-grandchild, Kenleigh Cooper.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Ark.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery in Farmington, Ark.
