Bonnie Loretta Jeffery Phipps, daughter of the late Richard Jeffery and Bonnie Irene Walstrom Jeffery, was born June 12, 1944 in Mt. Olive, Arkansas. She departed this life September 8, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 27 days. She was united in marriage to Albert Dean Phipps August 17, 1963 and to this union one son was born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, homemaker and friend. During her working years she was employed by the White River Shirt Factory and Ozarka College in Melbourne. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Midway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Dean Phipps of the home; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son: Rocky Dean Phipps; three brothers: Lamar Jeffery, Frank Jeffery and Charles Jeffery; one sister: Elizabeth Jeffery and one half sister: Dorothy Duckett.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Melbourne with Gene Baird officiating. Burial will be at Old Philadelphia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, September 11 from 6-8 p.m at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers: Carl Phipps, Jerry Phipps, Paul Phipps, Scott Phipps, Logan Phipps and Logan Holladay.
Honorary Pallbearers: Hank Moser, Cub Rush, Jeff Jeffery, Ron Jones.
