Mrs. Vera Crocker Ethridge, 47, wife of Herman Ethridge of North Little Rock, formerly of Conway, died at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock early today. Mrs. Ethridge's death came following an operation. She had been ill two weeks.
Mrs. Ethridge was born at Mulberry March 25, 1895, and had lived in this state all her life. She was married to Mr. Ethridge March 23, 1940. She was a Methodist and a member of the First Church of Fort Smith.
Survivors also include her father, Dr. J.R. Crocker of Haskell, Okla.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harry L. Beazley of Conway; a grand-daughter, Virginia Lee Beazley of Conway; two brothers, J.R. Crocker of Texarkana, and Smither Crocker of Ozark; and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hunter of Haskell, Okla., and Mrs. Ruby Hargrove of LeVerne, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at the First Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Edward W. Harris and Dr. Blake Smith. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in charge of McNutt Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be as follows: Active--Henry Carr, Floyd Nobel and Charles Crouse of Litle Rock, W.A. Sullivan, Eugene DeJarnatt and Russ Ethridge of Conway. Honorary--Reuben Bredlew, J.C. Baker, Joe Sells, W.W. Chronister, and Joe G. Henry of Little Rock, Floyd Johnson of Nevada, Mo., R.B. Johnson, Buddy Walter and Leon Williams of Fort Smith, Edward Meeks and W.H. Tribble of Memphis, Tenn., Sam R. Adkisson, George F. Hartje, R.W. Robins, J.J. Little and R.C. Neal of Conway.
