Susan Ann Selig, 61, passed away on Monday May 26, 2008, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Lee Turner Selig and Leo Gregory Selig. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Selig Holyfield and Wayland Holyfield of Nashville, TN; nephews, Greg Holyfield of Nashville, TN, and 1st Lt. USMC Mark Holyfield, currently serving in Iraq; niece, Susan Lee Holyfield of Nashville, TN.; aunt, Lorine Turner; cousins, LeJean Dow Hart, Malcolm Turner and Mary Lee Scroggins. Susan was a graduate of Conway High School and the University of Central Arkansas. She earned her master's degree in library science from George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville. She spent 35 years as a librarian and associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Library in Memphis. In 1990, she was named Librarian of the Year by the Memphis Library Council. For many years Susan was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis. She retired in 2004 and returned to Conway in 2006 where she enjoyed renewing old acquaintances and making new friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway from 5 to 7 p.m. Service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the same location. Pallbearers are Jann Spann, JoAnn Kriehn, Peggy Crowell, Eva Hodson, Kay Morgan and Becky Henley.
