Jana Janeen Barrett, 47, of Gentry Arkansas, died Sunday, October 9, 2011, at her home. Born February 18, 1964 in Gravette, Arkansas, the daughter of Miron “Shorty” Guthrie and Edna Drennan Guthrie. She was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas and worked as a Claims Administrator for the Wal-Mart Corporation. Jana married Michael Barrett, September 4, 1983 in Decatur, Arkansas. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband Mike Barrett of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Barrett of Gentry, Arkansas; one son, Steven Barrett of Gentry, Arkansas; two sisters, Vickie Snow and husband, Mike of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Kim Jarnagan and husband, Barry of Gentry, Arkansas; two brothers, Kent Miron Guthrie and Terry Guthrie, both of Decatur, Arkansas; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor Tim Estes officiating. Burial will follow at the Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasson Funeral Home.
