Springdale — Chester Gayer, 77, of Fayetteville, died today at the Springdale hospital. Born Jan. 18, 1906, at Goshen, the son of John and Cal White Gayer, he was a retired farmer and a member of Goshen Methodist Church. He was a past master of Masonic Lodge 413.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs Mildred Milsap Gayer of the home and a brother, Lawrence Gayer of Goshen.

Funeral arrangements will he announced by Sisco Chapel.

FAYETTEVIIIE — Mildred Noreen Gayer, 84, of Fayetteville died Sept. 30, 2002, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Oct. 4, 1917, to Chester Arthur and Lana Lousia Cox Millsap. She was a homemaker and farmer and a member of Goshen United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Gayer, on Nov. 28, 1983; two sons, Jackie Gayer at birth and Bill Gayer in 1972.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Goshen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis E. Stropes officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel of Springdale.

Pallbearers will be John Gordon, Jacob Gordon, Pete Gayer, Frank Gayer, J.F. "Bud" Gayer and Doyle Sharp.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may to made to Goshen United Methodist Church Building and Ground Fund, P.O. Box 112, Goshen, 72735.
