AURORA, Mo. — Connie Mae McGarrah, Aurora, Mo., daughter of Wayland and Veba (Bland) Keck, was born on Feb. 14, 1944, in Rogers, Ark., and departed this life on Aug. 30, 2013, in Brookhaven Health and Rehabilitation, Springfield, Mo., at the age of 69.
Connie was an LPN for the last 31 years, working mainly at the Rogers Nursing Center in Rogers, Ark., and recently for the Aurora Nursing Center in Aurora, Mo. She was an avid reader and enjoyed antiquing. Connie attended the Faith Tabernacle Church, Galena, Mo.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Wayne Keck; and one sister, Dr. Sara Keck-Carr.
Survivors include one son, David McGarrah; two daughters, Debra McGinty and Teresa Waddell; three brothers, Dr. George Keck, Dennis Keck and Vince Keck; two sisters, Janice Gregory and Pat Keck; five grandchildren, Amber, Robyn, Kama, Caleb and Isaac; eight great-grandchildren, Malachi, Paul, Eloise, Daniel, Gideon, Andrew, Caitlin and Zoe; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 4, 2013, in Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, Mo., with Paul Brewer and Harold Brown officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. today in Union Chapel Cemetery, Garfield, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Voice of God Recordings, P.O. Box 950, Jeffersonville, IN 47131.
