Hedwig “Hedy” Lotz Holmes of Little Rock and formerly of El Dorado died Wednesday November 5, 2014 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. She was born on February 7, 1937 in Kassel, West Germany. She was the daughter of Karl Lotz and Emmie Lotz of Germany who preceded her along with two brothers; Heinz Lotz and Horst Lotz and a sister Helga Lotz.

Hedy was born and raised in Germany. In her youth she enjoyed swimming and dancing. She loved cooking for friends and family. Hedy also enjoyed the quiet time of sitting on her porch and reading the newspaper. She worked for Beall Laymon and MM Cohns for many years before moving to Little Rock and finishing her career of 22 years with Steinmart.

Hedy’s family surviving her are her children; Linda Holmes of Lake Tahoe, Ca., Robert Holmes of El Dorado, Carla Shaw of Andover, NY, and Tammy Michael (Calvin) of El Dorado, grandchildren; Courtney Bryant, Maegan Michael, Caleb Shaw, Tori Shaw, two sisters; Hilde Davis of Huntsville, Alabama, and Hanni Lomm of Mainz, Germany.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Father Bob Allen officiating.

Memorials can be made to John R. Williamson Hospice House. Family will be at Tammy Michaels’s home at 5398 N. Wyatt Dr., El Dorado, Ar.
