January 3, 1935 - November 4, 1964
Jimmie Lee Burns, 26, a self-employed electrician of Gonzales, La., died in Gonzales at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr. Burns was born in Galvez, La., Jan. 3, 1938, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Burns. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Charlotte Evans Burns; a son, Cody Burns; and a daughter, Tammy Burns, all of Gonzales. He leaves also his parents, and two brothers, Wallace Burns and Gene Burns, all of Prairieville, La. Funeral services were conducted by Elder T. O. Hoover and Elder C. F. O'Dell Thursday at 2 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Gonzales. The body will be brought overland to Young's of El Dorado for final rites to be announced. (The El Dorado Times - November 5, 1964)
