SPRINGDALE — Barbara Jean "B" Hale went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 31, 2014, at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born Jan. 4, 1939, in the Cherry Grove Community near Lamar, Ark., the daughter of Ben Harold and Bessie Rowbotham.
Barbara spent many years working in various administrative positions and office management. She enjoyed many various activities, including walking, baking, quilting, and genealogy. "B" loved her family and will be remembered lovingly by them. Her life's commitment was to her church and family. Her presence will be felt and missed dearly because "B" was always there.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, J. Keith Hale of the home, three children, Valerie Harp and husband Phillip of Springdale, Mark Houston and wife Beth Ann of Springdale, Charles Houston and wife Karyn of Columbia, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Tyler Houston, Philip "Trey", Emily, Chad, Nancy, and Hannah Harp, Tessa Houston and Paige Hammer; five great grandchildren, Tyler Harp, Kaylee Harp, Ali Harp, Cody Gilbert and Liam Hammer; one sister, Mary Ann Schuh of Clarksville and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery.
No visitation is planned.
Memorials may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Ark.
